接到内蒙古政协老干处的电话,我才知道政协原副主席奇忠义先生2007年9月1日晚23时30分,在内蒙古医院仙逝。奇忠义先生是成吉思汗34代嫡孙,蒙古语名字是奇握温·勃尔只斤·伊尔德尼博录特。作为一名蒙古族上层的特殊代表,著名的无党派爱国民主人士,中国共产党的亲密朋友,奇忠义先生从容走完了自己的一生。他为历史负责、为民族负责的爱国情怀、统一思想、治学态度、高风亮节,给我留下深刻印象。他对我讲的“懂得历史才知道爱国”的话语,至今在我耳际回响。
