由中国美术家协会、澳门美术协会和置地广场联合主办的“第九届全国美术作品展览部分获奖作品展”于2000年5月4日至7日在澳门置地广场举行。 澳门特别行政区长官何厚华、全国政协副主席马万祺、中央人民政府驻澳门特别行政区联络办公室副主任宗光耀、澳门特别行政区社会文化司司长崔世安、澳门特别行政区文化局局长王增扬、中国美术家协会访澳代表团团长王春立、澳门置地广场行政总裁周锦辉及澳门美术协会会长陆昌等参加了开幕式并为展览剪彩。 澳门各新闻媒体争相报道这一美术盛事。普遍认为第九届全国美展体现了中国改革开放以来艰苦奋斗的风雨历程和蒸蒸日上的巨人步伐,是综合国力的形象写照。 展览期间,代表团的全体同志还分别拜会了马万祺、宗光耀、崔世安先生,并与澳门美术家进行了座谈,听取他们对第九届全国美展的意见和建议。大家一致认为九届美展部分获奖作品在澳门展出,是澳门特别行政区文化生活中的一件盛事,
The 9th National Art Works Exhibition Winning Exhibition was jointly organized by the Chinese Artists Association, the Macau Art Association and Landmark. It was held at the Landmark in Macau from May 4 to May 7, 2000. Ho Man Wah, Chief Executive of the Macao Special Administrative Region, Ma Wanqi, Vice Chairman of the CPPCC National Committee, Zong Guangyao, Deputy Director of Liaison Office of the Central People’s Government in the Macao Special Administrative Region, Chui Sai On, Director of Social Culture Department of Macau Special Administrative Region, Wang Zengyang, Director General of Macao SAR, Wang Chunli, head of the Australian delegation, Zhou Jinhui, chief executive of Landmark Macau, and Lu Chang, president of the Macau Art Association, attended the opening ceremony and cut the ribbon for the exhibition.
