The composition of the section measurement system and its application in the measurement of the capacity of the cavern are introduced. The paper mainly discusses the scheme of measuring the capacity of the cavern, the calculation of the measuring point coordinates and the volume calculation of the cavern at different liquid levels. The effect of the sampling precision and density on the measuring accuracy of the cavern volume is analyzed.
