利用杂交种以提高玉米产量,是我国解放后在党領导下开展起来的农业增产新措施。从解放初期利用玉米品种间杂交种发展为现在生产上利用多种多样的杂交种,如綜合品种,頂交种,单杂交种,双杂交种等。玉米双杂交种的利用是近代遗传学科对生产一大贡献,也是目前具有世界性的玉米育种方向。目前我国各种玉米杂交种的数目虽則不多,种植的面积也不很大,但是在党领导下只要我們的研究工作能赶上去,配合适当的杂交种子繁育制度,以促进玉米双杂交种工作的发展,这对我国粮食和飼料的增产,将会起到更大的作用。
