6月23～26日,经过6年筹备的国际建协第20届世界建筑师大会,在北京成功举行、圆满结束。中外6000多名建筑师参加了会议。世纪之交,开放的中国再次向世界展示了她悠久灿烂的建筑文化和辉煌的建设成就。 这是国际建协1948年成立以来,第一次在亚澳地区召开世界建筑师大会！这是中国经过8年努力,4次不懈的申办,中国终于成为国际建协“最为关键的世纪性大会”的举办国。
From June 23 to June 26, the 20th World Association of Architects, which has been preparing for six years, was successfully held in Beijing and successfully concluded. More than 6,000 Chinese and foreign architects attended the conference. At the turn of the century, the open China once again demonstrated to the world her long and splendid architectural culture and brilliant achievements in construction. This is the first time since the establishment of the International Association for Construction in 1948 that the World Congress of Architects was held in Asia and Australia! This is China’s eight-year effort and four unremitting bids. China has finally become the host country of the “most crucial century conference” of the International Association for Construction.
