胡锦涛总书记关于树立社会主义荣辱观的重要论述,成为干部群众思想的共识和言行的准则。“八荣八耻”的精辟论述,对比鲜明,寓意广泛,思想深刻,代表了先进文化的前进方向,体现了科学发展观的本质要求,是新形势下社会主义思想道德建设的根本指导方针。在进行反腐倡廉教育的过程中,把社会主义荣辱观教育与学习党章、加强党性修养结合起来,使每个共产党员,特别是党员领导干部自觉践行“八荣八耻”的要求,这对于保持党的先进性,增强党组织的创造力、凝聚力和战斗力具有重大而深远的意义。
General Secretary Hu Jintao’s important exposition on establishing the socialist concept of honor or disgrace has become the consensus of the cadres and masses and the norm of words and deeds. The incisive discourse on “Eight Honors and Eight Disgraces” is sharp, broad-minded and profound in thought. It represents the advancing direction of advanced culture and reflects the essential requirements of the scientific concept of development. It is the fundamental guideline for the socialist ideology and morality in the new situation. In carrying out education on combating corruption and upholding integrity, we should combine the education of socialist concept of honor and disgrace with the study of the party constitution and the enhancement of our party’s character and accomplishment, so that every communist party member, and especially party leading cadres, will consciously practice the requirements of “eight honors and eight disgraces” It is of great and far-reaching significance for maintaining the party’s advanced nature and enhancing the party’s creativity, cohesion and combat effectiveness.
