我原名刘毓秀,山西省方山县人。1934年,我受同乡、太原师范学生李学渊(当时太原师范地下党的负责人)的影响,开始在我工作的太原毛织厂参加中国共产党领导的工人运动。后受到阎锡山的通缉,逃离太原。1935年底,北京“一二·九” 运动之后,我因与西北炼钢厂轧钢部主任柴九思的关系,到钢厂帮助德国专家工作,同时开展地下革命活动,后在上海实习半年。1937年卢沟桥事变后,我加入中国共产党,领导西北炼钢厂工人运动,参加山西工人武装自卫队,
My original name was Liu Yuxiu, Fangshan County, Shanxi Province.
