现代图书馆是信息仓库,是信息高速公路上的“加油站”。图书馆从传统模式过渡到现代阶段,主要体现在管理手段的自动化,存储方式的数字化,运行环境网络化及服务形式多样化。我国从90年代初开始图书馆自动化管理应用工作,目前正处于更新换代的高峰期,为此记者走访了国内数家有代表性的图书馆,分别从以上几个方面展示了目前我国图书馆的建设情况。清华图书馆以其馆藏丰富,服务多样化及众多的数据库资源引人注目,InnoPac系统的引进在图书馆界引起很大振动;北京大学图书馆新馆,新系统的即将投入运行,不仅体现了其一流的软硬件环境,更重要的是先进的管理思想;辽宁省数字化图书馆系统的运行,标志着我国第一个数字图书馆的诞生;北京图书馆电子阅览室的最早建立也曾在业界引起较大反响;如果说清华、北大走的是引进、消化、二次开发的路子,北邮图书馆自己开发的系统则更适合于国内经济承受能力较差的图书馆的应用。

The introduction of InnoPac system has caused great vibrations in the library industry.
