2003年暑假,32岁的海外华人学者王焰博士特别繁忙,他一站接一站地穿梭于美国、德国、加拿大、比利时之间,频频出席在这些国家举行的各种国际学术会议。这位在国际理论化学界崭露头角的新星,现在已是加拿大温哥华英属哥伦比亚大学化学系理论化学助理教授、博士与博士后导师,美国《物理评论快报》、《物理评论》、《化学物理杂志》、荷兰《化学物理快报》等五家国际权威学术期刊的审稿人。
During the summer of 2003, Dr. Wang Yan, a 32-year-old overseas Chinese scholar, was particularly busy. He traveled to and from the United States, Germany, Canada and Belgium on one stop and frequently attended various international academic conferences held in these countries. The emerging star in the field of international theoretical chemistry is now an assistant professor of chemistry and professor of chemistry at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, Canada, PhD and postdoctoral tutor, the United States, “Physical Review Letters,” “Physical Review”, “Journal of Chemical Physics” Dutch “Chemical Physics Letters” and other five international authoritative academic journals reviewer.
