2008年7月8日下午,中共中央党校气膜网球馆落成竣工。中共中央党校气膜网球馆由北京约顿气膜建筑技术有限公司承建,为国内首个采用了局部透光膜设计的气膜网球馆,也是目前为止,国内最大的气膜网球馆建筑。建筑内部无梁无柱,铺设了6片国际标准网球场地,利用膜材对光的高反射率,实现完美无眩光的泛光照明效果。按照设计,这座网球馆可以抵抗十二级以上台风,可以在北京历史上百年不遇的大雪中正常使用,而且可以有效抗震和抵抗沉降变形,具有顶尖的安全性能。
