与经济全球化,信息技术的日新月异相契合,大众传媒经历了一个前所未有的高速发展时期。报纸的版数也越来越多,信息量也越来越大。大众要接受的信息越来越多,注意力越来越分散,于是无形而有限的注意力便成了一种稀缺资源。在媒介的市场化运作中,媒介通过出卖受众注意力实现市场的市场转化,对商家来说,注意力意味着影响力,注意力须靠商业媒体的传播才能实现,才能转化为财富。
With the rapid development of economic globalization and information technology, the mass media has experienced an unprecedented period of rapid development. The number of newspapers is also increasing, the amount of information is also growing. As the public has more and more information to be received and their attention becomes more and more scattered, the invisible and limited attention becomes a scarce resource. In the market-oriented operation of the media, the media realizes the market transformation by selling the audiences’ attention.
