一九六五年,我站首次报道新疆墨玉县有小地老虎分布后,直到现在,未见新疆其它地方有小地老虎发生的资料.我国各地小地老虎几乎都以春季发生量最大,危害也最重,其它各代数量很少.而我县小地老虎成虫仅见于秋季,春季从未发生过.这一特殊现象,对于研究小地老虎的迁飞、越冬、越夏及防治等方面,具有重要意义.现将我们多年观察的资料整理如下.
