目前生产上所推广的杂交水稻,在抽穗扬花期间如受高温或低温危害易形成大量空秕。因此,在一些人心目中的印象是杂交水稻产量高而不稳。然而我们公社马口大队种植的700多亩杂交晚稻,虽然近两年抽穗扬花期遇到了高温和低温,但仍然都获得了高产。1978年亩产946斤,1979年更上一层楼,破了千斤关。马口大队杂交晚稻增产的原因在哪里?主要是他们抓住了一个关键性措施——增加穗数。
