The lowest level cataloging standard In order to save as much as possible the cost of cataloging, it led to the formulation of the “lowest cataloging” standard in order to achieve the sharing within the bibliographic network. In North America, bibliographic utilities such as Online Library Center (OCLC), RLIN, UTLAS have all set cataloging records for their members.
