To commemorate the 40th anniversary of Comrade Mao Tse-tung’s inspection of the Yellow River, the first large-scale “Yellow River Art Exhibition” since the founding of the People’s Republic of China was opened at the China Art Museum on November 18, 1992. More than 150 pieces of Chinese paintings, more than 130 paintings and prints selected from more than 1,000 works delivered nationwide took part in the exhibition.
