Taking the Chinese version of A Dream of Red Mansions by Cao Xueqin and the Japanese translation of the famous Hongtong teacher Ito Shibing as the corpus, this article takes the singular and plural forms of the first, second and the third person pronouns as the most typical examples in Chinese and Japanese as the object of study and finds that the personal pronouns in the original writings are modified The probability is much lower than the Japanese translation, which is the main difference between Chinese and Japanese personal pronouns syntax distribution. In addition, the personal pronouns in Japanese transla- tion also have a unique form modified by the inscription “こ の” “そ の”. Compared with Chinese, Japanese personal pronouns are more nominal and lexical, which is the main reason for the above-mentioned differences between Chinese and Japanese personal pronouns.
