不言而喻,用一次讲演不可能对现代音乐或它的某一个阶段,作出全面完整的阐述,诚然,要对自己的乐曲进行一些诠释或是评论,那会更加困难。假如我真有这个本事,我对它的价值和瑕瑜也将发生怀疑。导至我得出这个结语的缘由,或许同那些艺术学家——演讲者的意见大相径庭。譬如,人们常讲,音乐是经不起分析的,作为声音,它有别于美术、雕刻艺术、建筑艺术,因为与之打交道的是触摸无形、飘忽而过、迅即消失的客体。我不同意这种理解,我认为,同其它艺术创作领域并无不同,不久以前象建筑
It goes without saying that it is impossible to make a full and complete exposition of modern music or one stage of it with a lecture. It is true that it is more difficult to interpret or comment on one’s own music. If I really have this ability, I will suspect its value and flawed. The reason why I came to this conclusion may be quite different from those of the artist-speaker. For example, people often say that music can not stand the analysis. As a voice, it is different from art, sculpture and architecture because dealing with it is an object that touches invisible, erratic, and disappears instantly. I do not agree with this understanding, I think, with no other areas of artistic creation, not long ago, like building
