王荷波(1882—1927),是中国工人运动的先驱、中国共产党早期领导人之一、第一任中央监察委员会主席。出席党的三大、四大、五大。八七会议上当选为临时中央政治局委员,后任中共中央北方局书记。1927年11月11日在北京被奉系军阀张作霖杀害。王荷波青年时期曾在大连做产业工人历时13年,经历了俄、日本帝国主义殖民统治的苦难,遭受了资本家的剥削压迫,由此而觉醒,萌发反帝反封建的意识。走上革命道路后,1926年3月以全国铁路总工会委员长身份到大连巡视,指导工人运动和党组织建设,在中共大连历史上留下光辉的革命足迹。
Wang Hebo (1882-1927) was a pioneer of the Chinese workers’ movement, one of the early leaders of the Communist Party of China, and the first chairman of the Central Commission of the Central Commission. After embarking on the road of revolution, in March 1926, he went to Dalian as the chairman of the National Railway Trade Union and inspected the movement of workers and party organizations, leaving a glorious revolutionary footprint in the history of CPC Dalian.
