Green development is a major undertaking of our country’s development theory and a strategic choice made by our country’s national conditions and the trend of world development with an accurate and profound grasp. Green development urgently requires that forestry should take the important task of building a barrier to ecological security and solidifying its ecological foundation. It should step up efforts to protect and repair natural ecosystems, fundamentally improve the ecological environment, ensure national ecological security, and enhance its ability to mitigate and adapt to climate change.
