实践是检验真理的唯一标准。在科学发展史上,理论的预言一定要通过实践的检验来证实,而试验是最有效的实践。在土木工程学科中建筑结构试验是一门专业性很强的课程,课程的任务是通过理论教学和试验实践,使学生掌握建筑结构试验的基本知识和基本技能,并根据需要,完成一般建筑结构的试验设计和分析并进行试验得到试验数据,再与理论分析对比进行研究。简单地说,结构试验可以分为静力试验和动力试验,而静力试验往往需要另外施加比较大的外荷载,在实验室内试验相对比较容易实现,而在现场的话实施起来难度就比较大。动力试验往往需要一个激振,这个在现场实现起来容易得多。而且动力试验往往是无损试验,所以说动力试验是现场试验的发展方向。也是培养学生实践能力的方向。
