佟柱臣先生所著《中国新石器研究》是国家古籍整理出版规划小组学术委员会组织编辑的《中国传统文化研究丛书》首批专著之一;是关于中国新石器综合研究的第一部巨著,也是二十世纪中国新石器研究的集成、经典。说是巨著,当之无愧。不仅因为该著作有220万字的巨幅,且囊括了全国近900处遗址的石器资料,从中精选了近8000件的石器标本,构成了一个史前时代石器,当时最主要生产工具,分区域、分早晚发展的立体框架。
Mr. Tong Zhuochen, author of “Neolithic Research in China”, is one of the first monographs of “Chinese Traditional Culture Study Series” compiled and edited by the Academic Committee of National Ancient Books Collation and Publication Planning Group; it is the first monograph on the comprehensive study of Chinese Neolithic stone and also the second The Integration of the Neolithic Research in the 10th Century in China. That is a masterpiece, well deserved. Not only did the book have a huge 220-megabyte character, but also included more than 900 sites of stone tools throughout the country, from which nearly 8,000 specimens of stone tools were selected to form a prehistoric stone age apparatus.
