近几年来各地杂交水稻制种种子出现了不同程度的在穗上发芽现象,一般发芽率2—4%,严重的有10—12%,阴雨天之前倒伏的达60%以上,已在穗上发过芽的种子,晒干后就会丧失发芽能力,严重影响了种子产量和种子质量。穗上发芽的原因(一)品种的休眠期绝大部分杂交水稻制种组合,种子无明显的休眠期,故很容易在穗上发芽,休眠期的长短,除了与品种特性有关外,还与抽穗扬花授粉和成熟期温、湿度的高低有关。一般说来,气温高、湿度大,休眠期短;气温低、湿度小,休眠期长。1984年湖南省绥宁县武阳制种基地的杂交水稻威优6号制种,抽穗扬花授粉期和种子成熟期,正遇上气温高,雨水较多的天气,故休眠期很短,在穗上发芽率达4%以上。而早制的威优64抽穗扬花授粉和种子成熟期,正遇上大好晴天,气温又不高,在穗子上发芽率仅2%以下。
