设计并试验了对注入式激光器进行幅度强度调制的激光发射机。用GaAlAs双异质结激光器组装六个发射机具有以下性能:(i)调制指数为80%,平均光功率输出为0.6到0.8 mW时,三级互调产物>26 dB,低于主分量;(ii)过剩噪声率小于1.5dB;(iii)频率响应从0.1到10O兆赫时变化±0.6dB。这些发射机在室温下经过800小时老化,连同输入网路一起用在卫星实验中。
A laser transmitter was designed and tested for the amplitude and intensity modulation of an implanted laser. The assembly of six transmitters with a GaAlAs double heterostructure laser has the following properties: (i) a modulation index of 80% and an average optical power output of 0.6 to 0.8 mW with> (ii) the excess noise rate is less than 1.5 dB; (iii) the frequency response varies by ± 0.6 dB from 0.1 to 10 MHz. The transmitters were aged for 800 hours at room temperature and used in satellite experiments along with the input network.
