When the “Sept. 7” incident broke out, I was 14 and just graduated from junior high school. After the incident, all walks of life in the Philippines, rich in patriotic traditions, mobilized all sectors of the community to set up a mass anti-enemy and mass organizations around the country. They sent donations to support the war of resistance, and mobilized overseas Chinese students and workers to go back to war.
