美国铸造协会第十二委员会(球墨铸铁分会),为了掌握当前球墨铸铁的生产实际情况,向美国所有的球墨铸铁生产单位发了调查表。这项调查是在1978年初进行的。所发的调查表力求能反映自熔炼至浇注的整个过程。调查项目包括熔炼、原铁水化学成分和脱硫方法(包括脱硫剂),也提出了预处理、球化处理方法和球化剂、孕育处理和最终化学成分等问题。调查表中的有些项目,还将操作方法或处理方法与以往的调查作了对比。
American Foundry Association Twelfth Committee (ductile iron branch), in order to grasp the current actual production of ductile iron, made to the United States all ductile iron production unit questionnaire. The survey was conducted in early 1978. The questionnaire sent out sought to reflect the entire process from smelting to pouring. The survey included the melting, chemical composition of the original molten iron and desulfurization methods (including desulfurization agent), but also proposed the pretreatment, balling treatment methods and nodulizer, inoculation treatment and the final chemical composition and other issues. Some of the items in the questionnaire also compared the method of operation or treatment with previous surveys.
