The most significant synthetic aperture system is a hexagonal array of six circular apertures. This article focuses on one-dimensional models that illustrate the characteristics of two-dimensional models. In the infrared image of the 8-14 micron area, the size of the detector is generally too large to allow spectral overlap in the image sampling. The special transfer function unique to a synthesis system indicates that it can obtain a larger sampling distance than is required by the Whitaker-Shannon sampling theory, and provides a detector array for correct image sampling.
