Project Undertaker: The Sugarcane Research Institute of Fujian Agriculture and Forestry University is the authoritative doctorate in crop science with the sugarcane as the research object in China’s agricultural universities. The postdoctoral research center, “211 Project” key disciplines in Fujian Province, Sugarcane Association of China Crops Society, Sub-centers, the Ministry of Agriculture sugarcane ecological and genetic improvement key open laboratory, the Ministry of Agriculture sugarcane and product quality inspection center units. The main task is to evaluate the application of basic research in fields of genetics, molecular biology, plant physiology and plant pathology to improve sugarcane varieties and resources in different sugarcane growing areas in China and to carry out basic research on the methods and varieties of breeding.
