李时珍是明朝的医药家,他曾在四川蓬溪县任过知县。在官时,由于办事秉公、体恤民情,不阿权贵,颇受当地百姓尊重和欢迎。因而遭到贪官污吏憎恨、反对,受到同僚嫉妒、排挤。不久,李时珍就被罢官还乡。
Li Shizhen, a Ming medicine practitioner, once served as magistrate in Pengxi County, Sichuan Province. In official time, due to his impartiality, compassionate public sentiment, not powerful, popular local people respect and welcome. He was hateful and oppressed by corrupt officials, jealous and crowded by his colleagues. Soon, Li Shizhen was dismissed from office.
