Television screens often contain high-brightness signals that are much brighter than normal screens. The electron beam from the camera tube does not fully display this high brightness signal, resulting in annoying high brightness blooming and comet tail phenomena in the television image. Increasing the beam current greatly reduces this annoyance, but it reduces clarity and adds inertness. High-brightness signal processing problems have now been effectively solved by two methods
