东方科技论坛是由上海市人民政府、中国科学院和中国工程院共同发起和主办,以中青年科研人员为主体的面向全国的具有综合性、前瞻性和战略性的科学技术研讨会(详见本刊1999年第7期“东方科技论坛——科学家的喉舌”一文)。本刊从1999年第10期起,特辟“东方科技论坛”专栏,根据论坛会议情况,采取多种形式,逐期报道前沿科学、未来科学及我国与上海地区经济发展的热点问题。 本专栏得到中国科学院上海分院学术办公室主任兼东方科技论坛办公室主任曹天锡同志、中国科学院上海分院办公室副主任励爱芬同志的大力支持与帮助,在此表示感谢。
The Oriental Science and Technology Forum is a comprehensive, forward-looking and strategic science and technology symposium sponsored by the Shanghai Municipal People's Government, the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the Chinese Academy of Engineering and targeted mainly at young and middle-aged scientific researchers “Oriental Forum on Science and Technology - Mouthpiece of a Scientist”. Since its 10th issue in 1999, this magazine has opened a special column entitled “Oriental Science and Technology Forum.” According to the forum, various forms of frontier science and future science and the hot issues concerning the economic development of China and Shanghai are reported on a periodical basis. This column is grateful for the strong support and help from Comrade Cao Tianxi, Director of the Academic Office of the Shanghai Branch of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and Director of the Office of the East China Science and Technology Forum, and the Rev. Li Ai, Deputy Director of the Office of the Chinese Academy of Sciences Shanghai Branch.
