US Kaiser Steel’s new automated hot strip mill (86 2180 mm) is used to roll slabs weighing 5.5 tons, 6.75 meters, 1000 mm wide and 100 mm thick into strips of thickness 1.6 mm and lengths of approximately 450 m steel.
