湍急汹涌的独龙江是伊洛瓦底江的正源,源于西藏伯舒拉岭,由北向南流入缅甸。它的左岸是担当力卡山,右岸是高黎贡山。两山耸峙,一水中流,独龙江在云南境内,形成一南北长近百公里,东西宽三十多公里的长条形高山峡谷区。独龙江公社座落在偏南的江边的巴坡村,全公社仅三千多人。由于横断山脉“横断”了东西交通,人为破坏少,这里19万多公顷的地面上,还保存着以常绿阔叶林为主的大片原始林分。
The turbulent Dulong River is the source of the Ayeyarwaddy River, originating in Tibet’s Besurah Mountains and flowing into Myanmar from north to south. Its left bank is Likashan, the right bank is Gaoligongshan.
