林场在我国林区占有重要地位。实现林业可持续发展与林业分类经营有着密切的联系。实行分类经营可使商品林真正走向市场,可使生态公益林得到有效的经营和保护,并且森林分类经营是林场林地资源有效利用的保证,因此在林区以林场为单位进行分类经营是十分必要的,也是势在必行的。
