Objective To investigate the effects of aqueous extract from Radix et Wright leaves on coronary flow, myocardial contractility and heart rate in isolated rat heart. Methods The Langendorff perfusion method was used to observe the effects of drugs on coronary flow, myocardial contractility and heart rate in normal rats by MedLab biological signal acquisition and processing system. Results The results showed that the effect of water extract of Radix et Wright leaves on coronary flow in rats was similar to that of Salvia miltiorrhiza. Compared with the blank control group, the water extract of Radix et Rhizoma et Radix notoginseng was statistically different, with the effect of stabilizing and increasing coronary flow. Myocardial contractility, and then gradually weakened recovery. Heart rate continued to decline throughout the course of the decline rate and fast. Conclusions The extract of Radix et Rhizoma et Radix et Rhizoma et Radix notoginseng has the following effects: first, it increases the coronary flow and myocardial contractility and then decreases to the state before administration, and has a faster and stronger slow heart rate effect. The results suggest that the olive leaf may help reduce heart oxygen consumption, maintain heart function, play a role in protecting the myocardium.
