吴英恺,1910年出生于辽宁新民县,医学家,中国胸心外科开创人之一。1933年毕业于原辽宁医学院。1940年在北京协和医院实施了中国第一例食管癌手术,并获得成功。1941年被选派到美国密苏里州圣路易斯的华盛顿大学医学院进修胸外科。1943年回国。1944年成功地施行了中国第一例未闭动脉导管结扎术。1955年选聘为中国科学院院士(学部委员),1978年组建中国第一个心血
Wu Yingkai, born in 1910 in Xinmin County, Liaoning Province, is a medical scientist and one of the pioneers of thoracic and cardiac surgery in China. 1933 graduated from the original Liaoning Medical College. In 1940, Peking Union Medical College Hospital implemented the first case of esophageal cancer surgery in China and achieved success. In 1941 he was sent to the Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, Missouri for advanced thoracic surgery. Back in 1943. In 1944 successfully implemented China’s first case of patent ductus arteriosus ligation. 1955 Appointment as an academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (Faculty member), established China’s first effort in 1978
