本文研究了中美两国利率变动对农产品价格的影响,从历史来看,中美两国利率变动对农产品价格的影响并不明显。从经济学原理来看,利率的变动主要是管理社会总需求的一种手段。但是,它对于一些刚性需求的产品作用是不明显的。因此,利率的调整难以对农产品价格水平有实质影响。我们认为,农产品价格走势有着其自身的规律,主要受其本身的供求关系决定。因此,要稳定农产品价格还应该采取扩大农产品供应的手段,如增加农民种植补贴,限制农业用地划转为工业用地,减少农产品流通环节税费等。
This paper studies the impact of the changes in interest rates on the prices of agricultural products between China and the United States. From a historical point of view, the changes in interest rates in China and the United States have no obvious effect on the prices of agricultural products. From an economic point of view, the change in interest rates is mainly a means of managing aggregate social demand. However, it is not obvious for the role of some rigid demand products. Therefore, the adjustment of interest rates is hard to have a material impact on the price level of agricultural products. In our opinion, the price movements of agricultural products have their own laws, which are mainly determined by their own supply and demand. Therefore, in order to stabilize the prices of agricultural products, measures should also be taken to expand the supply of agricultural products, such as increasing farmers’ subsidies for planting, restricting the transfer of agricultural land to industrial land and reducing the taxes and fees for circulation of agricultural products.
