汪品先,男,江苏苏州人,1936年11月生。1953年上海格致中学毕业后入“留苏预备班”。1960年毕业于莫斯科大学地质系。先后在华东师范大学地质系、地理系和同济大学海洋地质系任教。1981—1982年获洪堡奖学金在德国基尔大学等校进行研究。1984年破格提升为教授并担任海洋地质专业博士生导师,1986年起多次应邀赴澳洲国立大学等任访问研究员,1991年当选为中国科学院地学部学部 Wang Pinxian, male, Suzhou, Jiangsu, born in November 1936. 1953 Shanghai Georgia to high school after graduation into “reserve class”.
