本文对乳液聚合动力学理论的介绍,以Harkins对乳液聚合反应历程的定性描述为基础,着重叙述了Smith—Ewart从Harkins模型的定性描述发展为对聚合动力学的定量处理,以及后来Gardon对Smith—Ewart结果的进一步考察和计算。Gardon运用了独立参数,并使动力学方程更加明确了有效范围。文中还涉及其他研究工作者对传统聚合理论的发展、改进或争议,以简略说明当前乳液聚合理论研究的某些发展趋势。
Based on the qualitative description of the emulsion polymerization reaction by Harkins, Smith describes the evolution of the Harkins model from the qualitative description of the Harkins model to the quantitative treatment of the polymerization kinetics, and the subsequent Gardon’s analysis of Smith -Ewart further investigation and calculation of the results. Gardon used independent parameters and made the kinetic equations more explicit about the effective range. The text also involves the development, improvement or controversy of other researchers on the theory of traditional polymerization to briefly explain some of the current trends in the field of emulsion polymerization theory.
