Chinese enterprises are generally short-lived, and this phenomenon occurs mostly in small and medium enterprises. However, since the end of 2004, many large enterprises and even listed companies have quickly stepped into the ranks of short-lived ones. Among them, Delong and Jianlibao are the major representatives. In fact, the death of a business is a normal phenomenon in the market competition. According to statistics, over 90% of newly-established enterprises in Japan have mostly died within 3 years. This figure can even be mapped to all economically developed countries. The same is the result of the survival of the fittest in the market. However, a careful analysis shows that there is a significant difference between the death lines of Chinese enterprises and those of foreign companies. The devaluation of the value is the key issue.
