Mr. Shan Lun was born in 1933 in Longkou, Shandong. 195O admitted to Shandong University (later by the faculty to Shandong Agricultural University). After graduating from university in 1954, he came to the newly established Institute of Biological Soils (the predecessor of Soil and Water Conservation Institute) of the Chinese Academy of Sciences to date.
