中国外语语言教育政策总体上呈现出不断强化英语教育的特点,加上中国发展的历史和现实因素,引发了全国性的“英语热”。通过英语教育的语言经济学解释和成本—收益分析,指出一直以来的英语教育政策虽然一定程度上为国家发展添能助力,但是也存在成本投入过大、收益不高,教育效果不好,英语教材改革不力,英语专业人才匮乏的问题。要解决这些问题,需要政府出台相应的政策,提高英语师资质量,推进英语教材改革,平衡英语教育和其他外语教育的关系,注重专业英语的发展。
As a whole, the policy of foreign language education in China shows the characteristics of continuously strengthening English education, which, combined with the historical and realistic factors of China’s development, has triggered a nationwide “hot English.” Through the explanation of language economics and the cost-benefit analysis of English education, it points out that the English education policy has been able to boost the development of our country to a certain extent. However, there are also some problems such as excessive cost, low return, poor education effect, Textbook reform is ineffective, the shortage of English professionals. To solve these problems, we need the government to introduce appropriate policies to improve the quality of English teachers, promote the reform of English teaching materials, balance the relationship between English education and other foreign language education, pay attention to the development of professional English.
