Near-infrared (NIR) lasers with wavelengths in the 1.3-1.4 μm range are transitional regions from the retina to the cornea where the sensitive parts of the eye are damaged. In recent years, a breakthrough in laser technology has led to the increase of the laser range in the spectral region and the dramatic increase of output power. The eye damage effect is highly concerned. As the band laser with “body absorption ” characteristics, the eye damage effect and visible light and far-infrared light compared to a number of unique characteristics and influencing factors. This paper reviews and analyzes the damage effects, influencing factors and existing problems of the NIR laser eye in the transition zone.
