In 1950, when the People’s Republic of China was just established, the great cause of Huaihe River Huaihe River began. In May 1951, when the first year of construction was still not completed, Chairman Mao dispatched a delegation of central consolation to the Huai-Huai site to condolence the masses of farmers, water conservancy workers, officers and men of the People’s Liberation Army Hydraulic Division and officials and engineers of the Huai River-handling project.
