贝登认为,管理人员在向下级授权时必须注意四件事:(一)在明文规定下级的权力和责任之前,必须先和下级进行彻底的讨论。上级和下级就此交换意见是管理工作中不可缺少的一个要素;(二)期待下级获得何种工作成果,就应当授予下级与之相应的权力。要在行动和言语方面给予下级充分的支持,否则就不算是授权,而只是暂时抛开一个烫手的洋山芋罢了;
According to Betten, managers must pay attention to four things when delegating to lower levels: (1) Before explicitly specifying the powers and responsibilities of subordinates, it must be thoroughly discussed with the subordinates. The exchange of opinions between superiors and subordinates in this regard is an indispensable element in the management work; (b) What kind of work results are expected to be obtained by subordinates should be conferred with the corresponding powers of the subordinates. We must give full support to the subordinates in terms of actions and language. Otherwise, it is not an authorization. It is only temporarily throwing away a hot potato.
