H·迈尼尔是一位在国际乐器研究界有一定影响的人物。本世纪五十年代,他用电声的方法来研究小提琴的声音品质,根据所记录的频响曲线,对不同音质的小提琴进行鉴别。他的工作,把科学、艺术和实际制作三者有机地结合起来。“关于小提琴音质和结构的科学依据”是迈尼尔具有代表性的学术报告。过去,国内的某些内部资料曾刊载过这篇报告的摘要。为了能使我国的乐器研究者全面地了解迈尼尔的学术观点,促进我们的研究工作,下面刊登了该报告的全文。——编者
H. Menil is a man who has some influence in the international musical instrument research community. The fifties of this century, he used the method of electro-acoustic violin sound quality studies, according to the recorded frequency response curve, the violin for different sound quality identification. His work organically combines science, art and actual production. The Scientific Basis on Violin Sound Quality and Structure is a representative academic report by Menil. In the past, some of the domestic internal information has published a summary of this report. In order to enable our musical instrument researchers to fully understand the academic view of Menil and to promote our research work, the full text of the report is published below. --editor
