在世界经济发展全球化和中国改革开放的大背景下,我国英语教学领域发生了许多重大变化,外语院校为了适应这些变化,整合自己的英语教学资源,推进英语教学改革,努力培养英语加专业的复合型人才。北京外语大学在2008年6月成立了专门用途英语学院,旨在于加强其英语学科建设和规范其课程设置,以增强自己的应变能力,更好地培养市场所需的复合型外语人才。然而,全国各外国语大学的专门用途英语教学与研究仍面临着许多挑战,任重而道远,需要学界同仁加倍努力,不断进取,与时俱进。 Under the globalization of the world economy and the reform and opening up of China, many important changes have taken place in the field of English teaching in our country. In order to adapt to these changes, foreign language institutes should integrate their own English teaching resources, promote the reform of English teaching, and strive to cultivate English plus major Compound talent. Beijing Foreign Studies University established the English for Special Purposes in June 2008 to strengthen its English subject building and standardize its curricula so as to enhance its adaptability and better develop the complex foreign language talents required by the market. However, specialized foreign language teaching and research at various foreign language universities throughout the country still face many challenges and a long way to go. They need academic colleagues to redouble their efforts and keep making progress and keep pace with the times.
