本文运用共时、历时相结合的方法,对“万一”的历时演变及其共时差异进行分析,认为现代汉语中“万一”有四个不同变体:名词“万一1”表示所占比例极小,表示可能性极小的意外变化;副词“万一2”表示主观认为可能性极小的语气;连词“万一3”表示主观认为可能性极小的假设。不同的“万一”之间,有语义上的关联,通过词汇化和语法化演变,可以清楚地看到它们的演变路径。
