根据国家地震局地球物理研究所中国数字地震台网数据管理中心(CDSN DMC)从美国地震学合作研究会(IRIS)地震管理中心得到的资料,1997年7月份全球范围内共发生 M≥5.0地震82次(见附表),其中 M≥6.0地震6次,未发生 M≥7.0地震。最大的一次地震发生在委内瑞拉沿海,震级为6.8。本月发生的82次 M≥5.0地震中有47次发生在东半球,35次发生在西半球。
According to the information obtained from the Earthquake Administration of the United States Seismological Symposium (IRIS) by the CDSN DMC of the Institute of Geophysics of the State Seismological Bureau, a total of M ≥ 5.0 earthquakes occurred in July 1997 worldwide 82 times (see attached table), with M≥6.0 earthquakes 6 times and no M≥7.0 earthquakes occurred. The largest earthquake hit Venezuela’s coast with a magnitude of 6.8. Of the 82 M ≥ 5.0 earthquakes that occurred this month, 47 occurred in the eastern hemisphere and 35 occurred in the western hemisphere.
