我校以前限于园地太少,学生的生物科课外活动着重在标本制作,截至目前止,我们自制的动物标本——浸制、干制、骨胳、剥制等已有280多件。学生对剥制研究尤其感到兴趣,因为本地处在江南丘陵带,有不少的兽类和飞禽都可以收致研究,并制成标本,像哺乳类我们做了獐、鹿、豹、狐、豪猪、刺猬、鳞鲤、羊、犬、猫、兔等;鸟类制了兰尾孔雀、鹄、天鹅、角鸱、鹰、鹳、鹭、鷿鷉、各种野鸭及家禽等;爬行类如扬子鳄等。1956年8月曾选送自制标本16件到省会(合肥)作科普展出。
Our school was limited to too few places in the park before, and students’ biological extracurricular activities focused on specimen making. Up to now, more than 280 pieces of our homemade animal specimens have been immersed, dried, skeletal and stripped. Students are particularly interested in the study of stripping, because the local area is located in the hilly area of the south of the Yangtze River. There are quite a few animals and birds that can be studied and made into specimens such as mammals. We have deer, deer, leopards, foxes, Porcupine, hedgehog, scales carp, sheep, dogs, cats, rabbits, etc .; birds made of blue tail peacock, emu, swan, horns, eagles, storks, herons, emus, various ducks and poultry; reptiles such as Alligator and so on. 1956 August had sent homemade specimens 16 to the provincial capital (Hefei) for popular display.
