光电子技术是继微电子技术后的新一代高新技术, 它在光信息、光通信、光存储、生物医学光学、激 光、微光机电一体化等方面都获得了高速发展,在亚洲 地区的发展速度明显高于其它地区,特别是中国的发展 已引起了全世界的关注。11月8日,2004亚太光电子和 光通信会议正式在北京国际会议中心拉开帷幕,来自中 国、美国、英国、日本、加拿大等20多个国家的3000多 位学者出席了会议。

On November 8, 2004, the Asia Pacific Photoelectronics and Optical Communication Conference officially opened in Beijing International Convention Center.
